SP12 Questionnaire

1. What is/are your favorite yarn/s to knit with? What fibers do you absolutely *not* like?
I don't like novelty yarns [frilly, fun fur, etc]. I prefer Superwash yarns so I don't have to wash it by hand. I like sock yarns and soft yarns as well.

2. What do you use to store your needles/hooks in?
Their original packaging in a big tub or in ziploc bags.

3. How long have you been knitting & how did you learn? Would you consider your skill level to be beginner, intermediate or advanced?
I learned in February of 2008. I learnt from my fabolous sister Robyn and some help from lovely cousin Jenn. My skill level would be beginner, but learning quick!

4. Do you have an Amazon or other online wish list?
Yes I have one on Amazon and on Chapters.

5. What's your favorite scent?
I like Orange scents!

6. Do you have a sweet tooth? Favorite candy?
I am not a huge junk food fan since i have some food allergies, but I am a HUGE Chocolate fan! I like just plain chocolate or with almonds. Don't like with cinamon or peanut butter or anything like that. I love gums as well. I am a gum addict.

7. What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do? Do you spin?
No I do not spin. [not sure what that is either]. I used to scrapbook a bit, but have not in a long time. I also ejoy taking pictures and will soon be learning how to properly use Adobe Photoshop.

8. What kind of music do you like? Can your computer/stereo play MP3s? (if your buddy wants to make you a CD)
Yes my computer plays MP3's. I like R&b, rap, reggae, pop, a little bit of everything. I hate country music though. I heart Bryan Adams!

9. What's your favorite color(s)? Any colors you just can't stand?
BLUE! I like all kind, but love my birth stone, blue topas. I am not a huge pink fan. And I don't particularly care for Orange.

10. What is your family situation? Do you have any pets?
I live with my boyfriend and our 2 cats. I have 2 older siblings that I do not live with anymore [brother and sister], my parents and a nephew with a second one on the way!

11. Do you wear scarves, hats, mittens or ponchos?
Never owned a poncho, not sure if i would wear it. I do wear mittens and scarves. Hats tend to mess up my hair :)

12. What is/are your favorite item/s to knit?
Umm since i am still new at this, I have not made that many items. I have made less then a dozen items so far, can't really answer this. I enjoyed making the bunnies lol, but the sewing was a little frustrating.

13. What are you knitting right now?
A shrug.

14. Do you like to receive handmade gifts?
Yeah as long as they are useful.

15. Do you prefer straight or circular needles? Bamboo, aluminum, plastic?
So far I have only really used straight needles and bamboo. Never tried aluminum or plastic needles yet. Don't own them either. I do own a full set of circular needles but have not had to knit with them yet.

16. Do you own a yarn winder and/or swift?
No I do not.

17. How old is your oldest UFO?
So far I have finished everything I have started.

18. What is your favorite holiday?
Hmm, I guess Christmas/Channukah time.

19. Is there anything that you collect?
Shot glasses from different Countries. Shoes, TV shows I like on DVD, books and purses!

20. Any books, yarns, needles or patterns out there you are dying to get your hands on? What knitting magazine subscriptions do you have?
No subscriptions to any magazines. Don't own many books. I own 2 out 4 books from Stephanie Pearl-McPhee, so I guess maybe the other two; 1. At Knit's End: Meditations for Women who knit too much and Yarn Harlot: The Secret life of a Knitter.

21. Are there any new techniques you'd like to learn?
Not that I can think of, but I learn as I go along if the pattern requires it.

22. Are you a sock knitter? What are your foot measurements?
I have knitted one pair of socks so far. I wear a size 9, 10 and 11 depending on the shoe.

23. When is your birthday?
December 19th.
